Highlight:
In the Lord’s recovery today, there is an urgent need of shepherding for the building up of the Body of Christ (Eph. 4:16, 2:21-22). To shepherd is to render all-inclusive, tender care to God’s flock. However, we need to realize that in ourselves we are not able to shepherd anyone. The only One who can shepherd is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself as the good Shepherd (John 10:11), the great Shepherd (Heb. 13:20), the Chief Shepherd (1 Pet. 5:4), the Shepherd of our souls (1 Pet. 2:25), and the eternal Shepherd (Rev. 7:17). With this realization, we should open ourselves to receive shepherding from Him and from the members of His Body who are constituted with His riches. The more we are constituted with the all-inclusive Christ as the unique Shepherd, the more we will spontaneously live out a shepherding life and be one with Him to shepherd others according to God. In these days, may the Lord gain the mutual shepherding among the churches for the building up the Body of Christ.
