Hallelujah, saints! Today we come to the final message in the Life-Study of 2 Thessalonians: “A Concluding Word”
The verses covered are 2 Thes. 3:6-18 and the sections of the message are:
I. A CORRECTION OF THE DISORDERLY WALK
II. THE PATTERN OF THE APOSTLES
III. THE MEANING OF WALKING DISORDERLY
IV. PEACE FROM THE LORD OF PEACE
V. ENJOYING THE LORD AS GRACE
VI. A CLOSING WORD ON THE HOLY LIFE FOR THE CHURCH LIFE
At this point I would like to say that it is better not to do anything with which the brothers would not agree. If you want to do a certain thing and the brothers do not feel good about it, you should hesitate and reconsider. The fellowship of the brothers is a protection and a safeguard. It will preserve you in the church life. Perhaps you think that you know more than the brothers. This may actually be the situation. Nevertheless, it is always safe to listen to the brothers. This is a good protection and safeguard.
Pay heed to all of the speaking, teaching, and instruction you have received. These are the traditions from the Lord, and we should follow them.
I really enjoyed this message, thank You Lord, for a clear word on how to live a holy life for the church life! Lord, overcome in me to live this holy life for Your building! “As long as disorder exists in a certain church, there cannot be peace there. In the church life we need to be at peace in everything, in every way, and with everyone. For this, we need the Lord of peace to give us peace continually in every way.” Thank you Lord we need to be at peace! Lord give each one of us peace in every way!
Amen! Hallelujah!
“It is only when the Lord is enjoyed by us as grace that we can keep the church life from any kind of misleading and disorderliness. Both to live a proper church life and to keep it in order, we need the enjoyment of the Lord as the supplying grace. Only by grace can we live a proper life for the church life.
…In order to experience the carrying out of salvation in sanctification and grow in the basic structure of the holy life for the church life, we need the eternal life as the eternal encouragement. We also need the Spirit as grace, and we need the grace itself. Therefore, it is by the eternal life as the eternal encouragement, by the Spirit as grace, and by grace itself as the processed Triune God that we live a holy life for the church life. This is the revelation in 1 and 2 Thessalonians.”
Saint, today is last message… I can not wait what the Lord prepared for us for tomorrow… 🙂
“As long as disorder exists in a certain church, there cannot be peace there. In the church life we need to be at peace in everything, in every way, and with everyone. For this, we need the Lord of peace to give us peace continually in every way.”
“Thank You, Lord Jesus. You are my peace, the Lord of peace, to give us peace continually in everything, anything and with everyone.
According to Your wisdom and sovereign arrangement, You can be very practical, real and enjoyable in the church life.”
Praise the Lord for the Holy life for the church life! I really enjoyed this message. What a practical word for all believers! I can testify that I have received so much help from brothers in the church! It really is a safe guard and a pattern!
🙂 Praise the Lord! Through this life study I can testify my life has changed! Hallelujah! There is no doubt, through these experiences I love the Lord more than ever before. I know you do too!:) I am so thankful for this reading program. I’m not sure what is next, but one thing I do know; we have been sealed and written upon with the eternal One, our Beloved Lord! He is really what matters! This is all like a dream.
Let us now take a look at this ministry portion produced from costly experience.
“It may seem that walking disorderly is a small point. Nevertheless, it certainly is practical.”
Do not think that as long as we are spiritual, seek the Lord, and are for the Lord’s testimony and recovery, there is no need for us to be prepared for work through good education.
Many believers today are confused concerning whom to follow and whom not to follow, whom to imitate and whom not to imitate. But in the Lord’s recovery, we have been enlightened through the Lord’s speaking.
V. 16 “Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace continually in every way. The Lord be with you all.” In the church life we need to be at peace in everything, in every way, and with everyone. – My heart is for peace.
Paul speaks of faith, love, and hope. Faith is the foundation, love is the building, and hope is the topstone.
“Only by grace can we live a proper life for the church life.”
What is grace?
1 John 1:5^3: God is light and God is love (1Jn4:8,16). When the divine love appears to us, it becomes grace and when the divine light shines on us, it becomes truth.
2 Cor.8:9;12:15 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, for your sakes, He became poor in order that you, because of His poverty, might become rich.
This grace, which is the living Christ Himself,
Is what we need and must experience;
Lord, may we know this grace and by it live,
Thyself increasingly as grace to sense.
Oh What Wonderous Grace!
“Both 1 and 2 Thessalonians are concerned with such a holy life, a life that is separated unto God and sanctified wholly by God and for God. This holy life is for the church life.”
This message brings the life study of the books of 1 and 2 Thessalonians to a close, but may the experiences of what we received in these 2 books never end! What a joy to be separated unto the Lord and being sanctified wholly by and for him.
“We cannot deny that in the Lord’s recovery we have His speaking, teaching, and instruction. Although I would not ask you to imitate a particular person, I would urge you to pay heed to all of the speaking, teaching, and instruction you have received. These are the traditions from the Lord, and we should follow them. Because these traditions are free from the influence of the religious background, it is safe for anyone to follow them.”
Lord, keep us in Your speaking, teaching, and instruction. Thank You Lord that by Your mercy our eyes have been opened and your traditions have been revealed to us. May these truth be imparted into our beings and be a part of us for the rest of our lives. Hide these words in our heart! Amen!

Thank you saints for setting this up. Praise the Lord for the ministry! “We cannot deny that in the Lord’s recovery we have His speaking, teaching, and instruction. I love that this life study ends with enjoyment of grace and the eternal life as our eternal encouragement. What a help that our brother concludes by saying that “…it is by the eternal life as the eternal encouragement, by the Spirit as grace, and by grace itself as the processed Triune God that we live a holy life for the church life.”
How encouraging that such enjoyment will carry out our salvation in sanctification 🙂
I appreciated that another aspect of living a holy life for the church life is not walking disorderly. This means that we should be busybodies, but rather should work quietly and eat our own bread. Practically speaking, this means getting an education and being able to function in our society. We should keep away from those who are walking disorderly. This is important not just in the practical sense, but for the spiritual sense of building up the church. The church cannot be built up by busybodies and gossipers, and thus Paul warns the believers to even stay away from such ones. May the Lord grant us peace and grace to live such a church life!
Praise the Lord it is possible for us all to live a holy life for the church life. Amen!
I really enjoyed that “it is by the eternal life as the eternal encouragement, by the Spirit as grace, and by grace itself as the processed Triune God that we live the holy life for the church life.” It is nothing of our own doing or our trying but it is the through the Triune God that we are able to live a holy life for the church life. May we see this revelation and live by it daily!
