  1. In His first coming, Christ terminated God’s first problem, the old creation. He sowed Himself as a kingdom seed into us, His believers, thus germinating the new creation. In His second coming, Christ as the God-cut stone will terminate God’s second problem, human government, by crushing the great human image at its ten toes of iron and clay.

Today, we are very near those ten toes. But we are not only those in the physical realm, but spiritually we have this kingdom seed growing, maturing, increasing in us. May we be those cooperating with the King in our spirit so that we become His Bride, His increase and thus can be those who come back with Him to rule with Him for a thousand years.

  2. We are now in the second major section in the book of Daniel. Daniel chapters 7-12 cover the visions of the overcoming Daniel. Through his vision we can see the nature and progression of human government. In his seeing, we also may see Christ in His first and second coming. When Christ came the first time, “Paul tells us that Christ’s death terminated the old creation, for our old man was crucified with Him (Rom 6:6). This termination of the old creation is for the germination of the new creation. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 Paul says, ‘if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.’… This new creation is the church.” In His second coming, Christ will come as the stone cut without hands to crush the great human image. “As the stone cut without hands, Christ will become a great mountain (a great kingdom—the eternal kingdom of God) and will fill the whole earth forever and ever.”

  3. In the sight of God, Christ received the kingdom immediately after His ascension.
In the Lord’s first coming, He terminated the age of the old creation to bring in the new creation.
In His second coming, Christ will deal with His second problem- human government to issue in the eternal kingdom of God.

“We need to have a clear view concerning chapter seven of Daniel. This chapter covers a vast span—from Babylon, the first beast, to the new heaven and new earth. If we have such a clear view, we will know where we are today with respect to the parts of the great human image. I believe that we are close to the time of the ten toes.”

I didn’t know that Daniel 7 was so crucial until I read this message :).

  4. “The cumulative culture of all the empires signified by the gold, the silver, the bronze, the iron, and the clay will be crushed by this stone.”

Our trust is not in human government, but in Christ the crushing stone.
