I guess, I don’t really have anything to share regarding the reading itself, but I did do some extra historical reading regarding the three empires mentioned and found it all to be very interesting. While reading I just was reminded how the Lord really has arranged the world situation in such a detailed way for the accomplishing of HIs eternal purpose.

I am grateful for the Lord’s word. It gives us insight concerning human history. I am also thankful the Lord had an open vessel, Daniel. A channel through whom the Lord can use to carry out His eternal purpose. Oh Lord, raise up all the saints to be today’s corporate Daniel!
“Through his craftiness he would also cause deceit to prosper in his hand. He would magnify himself in his heart, and he would destroy many who were complacently secure (v. 25a)” oh Lord Jesus!! Save us from being deceived! Keep us from becoming secure in ourselves or our earthly situation! Keep us clinging to You and being one with You.
I am taking a history course and we just finished learning about the Greeks, Macedonian, Alexander the Great and some Persian wars. I was checking the textbook while I was reading the life-study and it’s marvelous that everything fits in together! The Bible is truly the Word of God and God is so real! Even thought sometimes it seems that He is not doing much or seems “invisible”, but He is controlling the world situation!
“He did as he pleased, and he became great” (Daniel 8:4). Three verses later the goat struck the ram. What a warning!
