  1. Amen! Praise the Lord….among all the events that transpire in Daniel 5, I praise and worship Him for all His doing….”Among all the events in chapter five, or going along with all these events, God’s economy was being carried out. God knew how to manage the world situation. Do not think that Darius the Mede came to kill Belshazzar by accident. No, that was God carrying out His economy. If He had left the empire in the hand of the Babylonians, there could never have been a return of the captives to Israel. Therefore, the empire had to be changed from gold to silver. This was God’s doing. This was God’s tempering, His balance in His economy, to fulfill His plan.”

In relation to this life study, I am also so impressed and touched by the sharing of brother Frances Ball and brother Witness Lee via http://www.biblestudyradio.org/?p=1308 O Lord Jesus, by Your grace and mercy, may I learn every lesson that You sovereignly arrange for me….O Lord Jesus, balance me, temper me, simplify me…

  2. Oh Lord, may we be serious with You and not disregard any spiritual lesson. Lord give us a soft, understanding heart that we might be tempered to fit Your divine economy.

  3. “Belshazzar’s situation should make a deep impression on us. We all need to see that if we have received some lesson from God, we must regard that very seriously. If we disregard any lesson, we will suffer.” Lord, have mercy on us, that we may we never disregard any lesson we have received from You!

  4. “In the first five chapters of Daniel, there are a number of lessons for us to learn.” May we bring each spiritual lesson to the Lord in prayer.

Lord Jesus, keep us pure in heart.

  5. I was deeply impressed that “Among the events in chapter 5, or going along with all these events God’s economy is being carried out. God knew how to manage the world situation.” It was not an accident that that Belshazzar was killed by Darius. If the Babylonian Empire continued there would have been no way for the captives to return to Israel… I feel the principle that “God knew how to manage the world situation” is very applicable to us today. Especially with so many things going on… Lord we praise You as the Ruler. Continue to rule over all the world situations so that your hearts desire will be fully satisfied! We love You dear Lord!

  6. “In the first five chapters of Daniel, there are a number of lessons for us to learn. For instance, the lesson in chapter one is that we should not care for the worldly choice and the worldly taste but set our heart on God and have a taste only for vegetables, that is, for simple food. We should receive only simple things. If we do this, we will be one with God and will become wise.”

Oh Lord continue to make us so simple. Make us so one with You! Oh Lord Jesus thank You for all the lessons you give us, use these to transform us, and gain Your house and Your bride!!

    1. I also appreciated this portion. What a contrast between the young overcomers’ simple diet and the debauchery of Belshazzar. O, how important our diet is! This causes me to consider what kind of things am I taking in during the day. What we see, what we hear, etc., all have a great affect on us.
