V. THE BRIDGE OF SALVATION
VI. THE DEGREE OF OUR SALVATION AND THE EXTENT OF OUR SANCTIFICATION
VII. SANCTIFICATION AND JUSTIFICATION
VIII. THE PROCESS OF GOD’S SALVATION
How much we have been saved is determined by how much we have been sanctified.
“We all move ahead in the way of going backward and forward.” Lord have mercy on us that we would always end up ahead of where we were before!
We need to have the proper concept concerning God’s salvation. If we have the right understanding of this, we shall realize that the extent to which we are saved is determined by the degree we have been sanctified. According to Paul’s word in 2:13, salvation is in sanctification of the Spirit. The point here is that how much we have been saved is determined by how much we have been sanctified.
Praise the Lord that we are on the bridge of salvation! The degree of our salvation depends upon the extent of our sanctification! I repent that I gave some oppotunities for my friends to invite me to worldy places. Praise the Lord that our moving backward may cause us to move more forward! But do not do evil that good may come :). I remember that brother Lee said that he learned more from his mistakes! Praise the Lord that by His sovereignty these mistakes and failures can turn out to salvation! Oh Lord we love You! How good it is to be chosen before time and to have salvation in sanctification! Praise the Lord!
Amen!!! I am also touched this portion and I am thankful the Lord that we are on the bridge of salvation. I was veeery encourage that our moving backward may cause us to move more forward! Wow!!
“In our experience none of us moves steadily ahead on the bridge of salvation. On the contrary, we all move ahead in the way of going backward and forward. Even though this may not be clearly revealed as a doctrine in the Bible, we know from our experience that this is the way we advance on the bridge of God’s salvation”
Thank You Lord Jesus.
“In 2:13 neither sanctification nor salvation is a simple matter.”
As those who are saved, we know that we’ve been saved but we cannot say how much we’ve been saved. We just realize we need to be saved much more!
“I have participated in God’s salvation to some degree, but I need to participate in it to a far greater degree.”
“God’s salvation of us involves a process. It has a beginning, and it will have a consummation.”
We can compare this to a bridge. We know we’ve been regenerated, we are in the process (somewhere on the bridge), and one day we will come to the end. Lord, keep us going forward and bring us on fully unto the end!!
It depends on us how much we move backwards or forwards on the bridge of sanctification. The race is on the bridge of sanctification. More Life, more sanctification , the more we are reaching to the other side. The further we come the more the fight is on. O Lord save us much more in You as Life to us , have mercy on us for we can do nothing without You.
We are on the bridge of salvation. Where we are we do not know, but we will always need to trust in the Lord and His sanctification. Lord Jesus we love You. Sanctify us complete, without blame at Your coming.
In this message, I was reminded that Paul’s epistles to the Thessalonians are on the topic of a holy life for the church life. In order to live a holy life for the church life, we need to be sanctified! This sanctification happens when the Lord establishes our heart (on the Lord’s side), and when we cooperate by abstaining from fornication, and other sinful or worldly things (on our side). Lord, may we be sanctified day by day!
I learned that salvation is not a simple matter. Just like telling how much life someone has is not a simple matter, being saved is not a simple matter. All we can say is that we were saved, we are being saved, and we will be fully and wholly saved eventually! Also, how much we are saved depends on how much we are sanctified. Praise the Lord for sanctification and salvation!
Thank you Lord for your sanctifying Spirit that is always working in us! Thank You Lord for the ministry, for opening up the matter of salvation as it relates to sanctification! This message further reinforces the past messages. The Spirit is constantly sanctifying us, but we must cooperate with the Spirit! This is allow us to move forward in God’s full salvation!
I really enjoyed that salvation is a process. Although we were saved when we were regenerated, day by day we still need to be saved more and more until we are glorified! This is a life-long process! May this be our experience every day!
