Migration Testimonies

Submitted by: L.H. who migrated from Gen. Santos City to Manila, Philippines in 2008 to hold a job.

What is the spiritual highlight of your migration?
I did not intend to migrate to this city, it is just God’s sovereign arrangement that He brought me here. Now I’m coordinating with brothers from Manila for our district. It seems that the environment here and the environment where I’m from is so different – I mean much more difficult to sow seed of life. The saints in my district love the Lord, and long for the Lord, but we are people of captivity, longing for His salvation from Zion. Now I am asking for the Lord to give us grace to empower us, to get out from our own world, our self, from anything that is not of resurrection, that we may live a life for the carrying out the divine economy.

Is there anything else you would like to explain or share?
I once served full-time in the training and in my locality, but now I’m working at a Japanese Semiconductor Company in Manila. The Japanese culture is workaholic and they want to occupy us with such a principle. I ask the Lord that we would not be swallowed by the anxieties of the world and I know He is faithful. I have some desires to migrate to other countries as my friends told me its more comfortable there. But I am always afraid of losing the church life. I always want to resign from my work because I am afraid it would occupy me as I’m going to be assigned to some complicated project. With this situation, how would we live for the carrying out of God’s Economy?
